Vida & Martin
On October 28, 2022 we celebrated our courthouse wedding in Salzburg, Austria.
THIS IS YOUR OFFICIAL INVITATION to our AMERICAN WEDDING!
SATURDAY 09th August 2025 / Washington / Shelton
RSVP by June 15th 2025
This won’t be a traditional wedding.
Here’s why:
It’s not only the two of us who will make our marriage strong and lasting, but also our family and friends who will be there to support us through tough times and celebrate the joyous ones.
As our community you’ll help our relationship stay strong, so we invite you to help make our wedding day one we’ll never forget. From the ceremony to the dinner to the music there are ways you can help, and we’d love if that is your wedding gift to us. The details are:
Arrival: 1-1:45pm
340 SE Nelson Rd / Shelton WA 98584
Ceremony: 2pm
You are our loved ones who support us and witnesses to our vows. In place of a traditional officiant we welcome your words and wishes during our ceremony to help marry us. After our vows, the floor will be open to anyone who wants to share a short poem, words of advice, or wisdom (in English or German). All are welcome to speak, but if you say something publicly or not is up to you. We are grateful either way that you’ll be at the ceremony so we can feel your love as we commit to ours.
After the cermony: Pool Party & Lawn Games
There is a natural pond on the property that a few people at a time can swim in, so bring your swim gear & towels, yo! For the landlubbers we’ve got some classic lawn games.
Potluck Dinner: 5pm
Breaking with tradition again, we love the symbolism of our community feeding us on our wedding day with homemade food cooked with love. So, if you’re local and can do it, we’d appreciate you bringing a potluck dish to share.
We will provide drinks and a base food of yummy BBQ, so we’d love potluck dishes like: salads, vegetarian/vegan dishes, pool party ‘snacks’ for before dinner, & desserts.
You’re from out of town and have no kitchen? /Don’t bring a potluck dish! No worries – there will be plenty of food and there are plenty of other ways to help make our day special.
Bonfire & Music: after dinner
If you want to “perform” a song just for us, the bonfire open-mic is your chance. A list of songs we’d especially love to hear is on our gift registry, but the song you pick for us is also wonderful! After anyone who wants to ‚perform‘ we’ll kick of a bonfire jam-session of epic proportions. Maybe we’ll even open up the bonfire dancefloor!
Overnight stays:
Hotel: The Little Creek Casino Hotel is only 5 miles away and a great place to stay.

WHAT TO BRING:
Thank you for helping make our non-traditional wishes for our big day come true by helping make our ceremony, dinner, and entertainment full of love. Bring:
- Dress code is casual: wear something celebratory that makes you feel pretty. Don’t forget your SWIMMING GEAR and WARM LAYERS for the nighttime bonfire.
- Potluck food if you’re local: We will provide a base of yummy BBQ, so bring on those salads, snacks, and desserts. If you’re not local and can’t bring food, no worries – we know you’re contributing in other ways.
- A piece of cotton fabric for the wedding quilt. These will have a role in the ceremony, then be made into a wedding quilt for us as a gift. We’d be happy if color, pattern, or fabric itself has some sentimental value to you, but please only 100% cotton to ease the quilter’s job (any fabric store can help if you tell them it’s for a quilt). We will provide fabric for those who don’t bring their own.
- Anything you might need for your gifts of service for our big day.
